Ayisha (a young prof at NUS and neighbour) is over at my place now. She asked about my school and I said that even though I'm on a week-long holiday, I still have to go back to school for extra lessons, and I still have tuition. Then she asked if tuition was a school requirement or if it's an independent out-of-school choice, and I said it's the latter and she said, "In America we have a term for that: Masochist."
