Yesterday I had the adrenaline rush of a lifetime! What happened was that I was walking around and studying Bangla and whatever, BLIND, for about 3 hours and then LO AND BEHOLD, I looked under the pillow and blankets I was lying on for 3 hours, and FOUND MY GLASSES! It was actually quite exciting.
I had a peanut butter and condenseed milk sandwich, and two peanut butter and jelly waffles for breakfast. Mmm. Let's go eat some more!
So I'm not going to Dubai, I'm going to Abu Dhabi. It's a 2 hour drive from Dubai and it's more residential and slightly more conservative ('T-shirt and jeans'). Dubai's more commercial and is more of 'tank tops and shorts'. Or so I've heard, but I will confirm that laterer. According to some guy in Sharjah (near Dubai), public transport is highly unreliable or something, and despite the driving age being 18, I shouldn't even try 'cause the roads are insane. So I'm looking at a life of cabs. And everything there is cheap 'cause of no tax-ness. And... oh yeah! I thought once I leave Singapore, I'll be able to club legally 'cause when I get there I'll be 18, but the minimum age is 21!! Cheebye. I'm never going to be old enough. But I'm not really into that scene anyway. As for musicians, the local UAE peeps aren't into playing music, they're more into the cafe culture. But all this information was Dubai-based. Maybe Abu Dhabi'll be a bit different. Anwyay, I'll be going to and international school so finding musicians shouldn't be a problem.
Anyway, if anyone knows anyone in Abu Dhabi, please let me know so I can have some friends when I get there!
