Ok I'm going to start off with Sunday 'cause I just realised that I'm forgetting things that happened just 2 days ago. Sunday, Gigi Apu and I took my aunt and grandaunt to Orchard 'cause they wanted to shop. I bumped into Manross and we spoke a bit till we had crossed the road, then he ran of with his friends and I, with my family. Blah blah blah it was boring but at least my aunt bought me coffee. Monday, Megan and I went to Borders and Holland V., then we went to her place to put up christmas decorasi, then I got lazy and decided we should take a LONG break and watch Megan wrap presents. Oh how fun. Then Mom came and picked me up, and got off at Buona Vista, and I had to chaperone my aunt and grandaunt. They wanted to see the musical fountain show at Sentosa. Argh it was sooo fucking boring, I swear. And the show is SO LAME. But I survived. (Plus, it wasn't so bad 'cause we got to take a cab there and back, and I didn't have to pay.) Then at night, Ayesha was supposed to stay over 'cause her flight back to Canada was at dawn and her house was empty. So it was already 2am and she still wasn't at my place, and the rest of my household had fallen asleep so I called her asking what's up and she said she was doing some last minute packing. Then at 2.30 she SMSed me asking if I could go to her place to help her bring some stuff over. So I went. Ughh I had to make 2 trips back and forth, but it was alright. Then I fell asleep. I was supposed to wake up with my parents and go with them and Ayesha to the airport, but I was too sleepy and Ayesha said goodbye to me in my sleep. When I woke up on Tuesday, I felt like crying, 'cause I wished I'd gone to the airport. Tuesday morning, Sheikh Rehana and her son, Bobby, came over. Sheikh Rehana is Sheikh Hasina's sister. I think I've mentioned this before, that Sheikha Hasina is Bangladesh's ex-Prime Minister, leader of the Awami League. Anyway, then they went off in the afternoon and then I went with my parents and my aunt and grandaunt to the airport 'cause they were leaving for Bangladesh. Thennn on Wednesday I went to Megan's, then we went to Taka and Wisma for speed-shopping (and bumped into Manross again), then we BUMPED INTO EDDIE!!! He was standing around looking cool with his friend at the MRT station. Then we took pictures and stuff, and then Megan and I went to Temasek Poly to meet Shekha and Chong, and maybe Hamzah. So we did. Then Hamzah came to talk to me and pass me the remastered Bloodstone demo, and he was really really sick. Like, his eyes were watery and his nose was runny and all. Then he left, and he SMSed me asking me for my EC. Ayo. So I went to him and I met Iylia! Then we did EC right there, and then I let him take the rest of it. Then I went back to my actual friends. Later, Shekha, Megan and I went to Bedok Reservoir for a smoke and it was so beautiful there! It was windy and the water was rippling and... It was nice as hell. Then we took random pictures and I told them it was getting late for me 'cause I had to go someplace for dinner, and it looked like it was gonna rain soon. They weren't listening, and we finally left when the rain started, and we got completely drenched and everything. Dropped Shekha off at Bedok North, then went to Nauveed's to pick up his jeans and almost get my face bitten off by Sabre. (According to Megan, that mad dog wanted to "kiss" me. With his teeth in my eye? I think not.) Then went back to Megan's, dried off, got picked up by parents, went for THAI FOOD YUM YUM YUM YUMMY YUMMM with parents' old friends. Thursday, met Gigi Apu at IKEA to eat hotdogs and buy a christmas present for Megan which was supposed to be a surprise but she figured it out so I can type it here. Then Megan met us at Queensway and did some more christmas shopping, then Qadir came and met us there, too, then we went to Anchorpoint and Megan left, and the 3 of us had a smoke and EC'd. Then we left. In the evening, I went with my dad to pick this lady up from Clementi MRT station. Her name's Catherine Masud. She's an American lad who's married to this Bangladeshi man, Tareque Masud. They're both filmmakers and they made a film called Matir Moina (Clay Bird) which has won lots of awards and stuff in film festivals around the world. They also made Muktir Gaan (Song of Independence) which, like, EVERY Bangladeshi has seen. They had to show it in public for thousands of people, 'cause the demand was so high. Anyway, she's here for an operation and one of Baba's cousins has worked with her in making some films before, which is how we're connected to her. She had dinner with us, and told us of how Muktir Gaan was made. It was amazing. I was just staring at her with my mouth open while she told her story. But I won't write it here 'cause I've already written so much. Yesterday, we went to Mount Elizabeth Hospital 'cause Catherine was there. When we went, she was still in the operating theatre so we went across the street to buy Chong a birthday present. Then I saw these GORGEOUS shoes and they fit perfectly and they were so perfect and they were only like $30!! SO CHEAP!!! And Mom wouldn't let me buy them and she said all this shit and made me cry and stuff (but I wasn't like bawling in the middle of Paragon or anything) and I went outside and called up Megan to get my mind off what Mom was saying. Then finally my parents came outside and we decided there was no point sticking around while Catherine was being operated on. So we went to Beena Aunty's house, which is just on Cairnhill Road. I watched the beginning of Uptown Girls with Haniyyah and Afifah, then I had to go to Chong's birthday party at the American Club. I arrived with Mei Xi, Adelle, Cheryl and Liz Lim, and Megan was waiting at the gate with Aunty Gwee Mei (Chong's mother). Then we had our usual MGS greeting screams and hugs, and went inside. Met Ban and some of Chong and Ban's cool artsy poly friends, then Christina Woon came! Then Megan and I tried working the music but something was wrong with the system. There was ONLY treble and the bass was non-existant! Even when the knobs were turned up and everything. So we got Chong to bring speakers, and then that worked. Us MGS girls sat around and ate together, then played this drinking game (but only Megan and I had booze in our cokes). Then later, I swear, Megan and I were the only ones dancing (as usual, while everyone else was busy being "too cool to dance"), then Chong joined in too, and we were being retarded and then the rest of the MGS girls came and were retarded with us, and supported our retardedness. But our retardedness was cool, okay! Oh man, it was so much fun. Oh, then I popped a button 'cause I was wearing pants that used to fit me 2 years ago. Okay fine, they fit me in like March. But I got button-poppingly fat since then. Luckily though, those pants had 2 buttons. Phew! So the other button was still (barely) intact. Okay, then at some time past 10, I realised I should check my phone, and I saw 8 missed calleds from my folks. Then while I was SMSing back saying that we were about to cut the cake, Baba called and he shouted at me 'cause I said I'd be done by 10 and I didn't call them and I wasn't answering their calls. So I said sorry and stuff, and he said he'll come pick me up and I said he didn't have to bother and I'd take a cab, and insisted. So then I waited downstairs like 20 minutes later with Megan and I was telling her how evil my folks were and how, like, there was hardly an difference between 10 and 10.30 and they shouldn't shout at me and stuff. Then Baba arrived and I got into the passenger seat, and he said to get in the back seat. I didn't understand why, but I listened to him anyway and he said the plastic bag there was for me. SHIT. IT WAS THE SHOES. I was like ohmyfuck. Then Baba apologised for shouting and said what I said (no difference between 10 and 10.30) and the point was, I should've called them. And I apologised for not having called and thanked him for the shoes and he said they looked good so he convinced Mom and... OH WOW. I spent all night rubbing the soft material against my cheeks and kissing the shoes. Hehe. OH WOWWW. Nothing doing today. Waiting for noon so I can watch Haniyyah on Nickelodeon. Am thinking of buying Lola and Kitty christmas presents. (Kitty as in Megan's Kitty, not my Kitty. And that's Kitty The Cat, not Kitty The Fish or Kitty 2.)
