On Friday, I went to Raffles City and had to wait for silly David for half an hour! Late as usual, lah! When he finally came, we went to Sugar's house. Then Ben came over with his guitar and amp. Then I asked for his bass, so he went back to get it and his bass amp. What a nice boy. Then we kinda jammed all afternoon and then Sugar's mom called me fat and stuff, and then we left at around 7.
Oh, can you believe my parents initially weren't even allowing me out in the DAY, on New Year's Eve? Evil to the max! But I managed to tell them that I wasn't going to a party or anything, I was just going to lunch, so they let me go. I went and met Megan, Aunty Carla and Aunty Deb at Paragon, then I blooterized so we went and sorted that out, then Megan and I shopped at Cine. Then we went downstairs, in front of Cine, where Keir would be performing for John Ong's band later on. We met Mhairi, Danette, Cara, Louise, and their friends, and stayed only for Johnny's band's performance. Then I had to leave for home. At night, Hasib and his parents, and a couple of other Bangla people came over for dinner. It was so freakin' boring, and Hasib cancelled his late night soccer-watching plans to spend time with me and Gigi Apu. How nice. We were really really pissed off and bored so we went downstairs for a smoke, then sat around. I called Philadephia and Gigi Apu and I spoke to Bhaiya for almost an hour. Which means I'm going to die when the bills come, 'cause I called from my cellphone. Anyway, then we went back upstairs and watched TV till 2005 ended and 2006 began. Technically, we watched TV from last year till this year. Oh wow what an amazing feat. Then Hasib and all left at around 1, and my parents were asleep by 2, and Gigi Apu and I snuck out of the house at 2.30am and went for cheese prata and tea. Mmm.. It was a nice start to the new year. No drunken frenzies, no crazy raping, no throwing up all over the place. Just good ol' cheese prata. Then we were back by about 4, and my folks were still asleep (phew!) and then Gigi Apu fell asleep. I was really bored and not tired at all, so I played bass till about 6, then I went to watch TV and take pictures of the first sunrise of the year. Thing is, it was gonna be a rainy day so the sunrise was all blue. There were none of the beautiful orange-pink whips across the sky, no purple freckles, no swirls or ripples of magenta. It was just blue, and white. At around 8 o'clock, I think, I fell asleep curled up on the couch. When I woke up it was 9.45, and I went to my room to wake Gigi Apu up to go for MacDonald's breakfast. But we were both too sleepy so Baba just went and got some hotcakes and stuff for us while we slept. When I woke up again, it was 1.30 and there were people at my house. It was Afreen and 2 Bangladeshi girls who study at NUS. Then Afreen's dad came and he brought me ice cream.
Mmm. It's hard typing while holding an ice cream.
Anyway, then I went to Megan's house and Gigi Apu went to Arman's house. And I had a go on her pogo stick, and I'm pretty good at it! In fact, I can be a professional! Hehe. It's so fun. Then I had Maltesers ice cream with whipped cream and suji cake with icing... Mmm... Sinful... Then I had to go home. Bangla dinner at night. Was pretty boring, but Afifah, Nahin, Walid and Hasib were there so it was pretty alright. Stupid Shathi's sons performed the numa numa song. The little one sang, and the older one played it on the keyboard. They're such nerds.
I'm going to go to school tomorrow! As an outsider. :(
